ČERNÁ HORA SKI RESORT

Černá hora ski resort is a skiing region where joint ski passes are valid, created through combination of the ski centres in Černý Důl, Janské Lázně and Svoboda nad Úpou. During the main ski season, transportation between the centres is provided by a free ski bus.

The Černý Důl area is characterized by a romantic and calm environment with wide slopes and a modern Kid park for ski lessons and a Snow park with special obstructions and jumps.

Ski resort Janské Lázně

Downhill piste: 11,3 km, black, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 12/2

The area in Janské Lázně has an eight seated cable car and downhill slopes with all levels of difficulty. Sledgers can use the unique 3,5km long Černá Hora sledge track.

The Ski Resort in Svoboda nad Úpou is a family resort which offers a slalom course with time trials (this can be booked in advance for private events).

Ski resort Dolní Dvůr

Downhill piste: 1,2 km, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 4

The typical feature of this ski resort is its simplicity, quality equipment, regular adjustment of the ski terrain and acceptable prices. It is mainly suitable for beginner skiers and families with children looking for skiing in a quiet place without queues.

Ski resort Herlíkovice

Herlíkovice is a completely modernized ski area located 3 km from the town of Vrchlabí. The 11,3 km ski slope, snowpark and daily evening skiing will satisfy all ski devotees.

Ski resort Malá Úpa

Downhill piste: 3,99 km, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 9

The centre in the eastern Giant Mountains not far from the border with Poland, includes the “Pomezky” and “U kostela” centers. It offers 9 drag-lifts, almost 4 km of downhill runs and more than 10 kilometres of maintained cross-country trails. Malá Úpa is also on the route of the “Krkonošská magistrála” joining the western and eastern Giant Mountains, which is popular among cross-country skiers.

Ski resort Mladé Buky

Downhill piste: 5,1 km, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 8/1

Mladé Buky Ski Park is located in Eastern Krkonoše Mountains, 6 km from Trutnov. A three-seated ski lift and various tows can be used for more comfortable skiing. Part of the area is Kidpark, where children can learn to ski under the supervision of experienced instructors.

Ski resort Pec pod Sněžkou

Downhill piste: 11,2 km, black, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 10/1

Ski area, which operates a four-seated ski lift, 10 tows and maintaince approx. 11,2 km of downhill slopes of varying difficulty, is the largest in the area. Ski slopes are popular with families with children because it is possible to choose from nursery slopes to difficult downhill ski slopes.

Ski resort Strážné

Downhill piste: 1,9 km, black, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 4

Strážné ski area is located 6 km from Vrchlabí towards Špindlerův Mlýn. The area is equipped with 4 ski slopes of all levels of difficulty. For the youngest visitors there is a children’s ski tow and very mild nursery slopes close to the blue ski slope. The centre offers 42 km of maintained cross-country trails for fans of cross-country disciplines.

Ski resort Špindlerův Mlýn

Špindlerův Mlýn ski area is the best known winter sports center in the Czech Republic. Ski area Svatý Petr has excellent ski conditions. The atmosphere of Horní Mísečky makes it suitable for family relaxation. The Medvědín chair lift is the ideal connection with Špindlerův Mlýn and a starting point for trips to the source of the River Labe.

The Skiport - Velká Úpa ski centre is rightly ranked as one of the modern winter sports centers in our country. Its favorable southwest exposure, undulating and rugged profile with little islands of meadow growths, hedges and many randomly strewn mountain chalets makes the centre a pleasant environment, not only for hard-core skiers, but above all for connoisseurs and hedonists, as well as for families with children - for all those who other than skiing, want to enjoy some peace, sun, beautiful countryside, or just have a pleasant sit down over a cup of tea or mulled wine.

Ski resort Pěnkavčí Vrch, Velká Úpa

Downhill piste: 0,6 km, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 1

The ski centre is located at a height of 1,000 m above the sea level and is accessible from the upper station of the Portášky chair lift. A drag lift 500 m in length offers maintained downhill runs intended above all for family skiing. The centre is used by snowboarders. A marked panoramic circuit around Pěnkavčí Peak is maintained during the winter season for fans of cross-country skiing with a total length of 5 km offering views of Pomezní bouda, Sněžka and Černá hora.

Ski resort Kněžický Vrch, Vrchlabí

Downhill piste: 7,8 km, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 3/1

There are six downhill runs alongside the chair lift and 3 drag lifts with a total length of 7.8 km, which are maintained on a daily basis by a snow plough. Artificial snow is used on the main slopes. The centre is ideal for families with children.

Ski resort Arrakis, Žacléř

On the easternmost edge of the Giant Mountains, lies the town of Žacléř and with it also the ski centre in Prkenný Důl - Arrakis. With its spacious downhill runs at all levels of difficulty, it is suitable for all types of skiers.

Family Ski Park Bret, Žacléř

Downhill piste: 950 m, red, blue No. of tows/ski lifts: 2/1

The downhill runs are suitable for beginners and lower intermediate skiers. More able skiers will also come into their own here during evening skiing. Runs are maintained using a system for production of artificial snow and finished using a snow plough. A children’s winter park is available for beginners and younger skiers, where you will find a rubber conveyor lift and rubber aids with fairytale motifs for the youngest among us. Children’s days are regularly held here full of games and sweet rewards.
