Bohemian Paradise and Podkrkonoší Route

Planned route, unmarked, blue color, 72 km

The stating point of the route is the riding station in Vítězná /1/, head out towards Bradlo through Zadní Mostek to Borovnička. The route runs mainly through a forest or along the edge of the forest until Stará Paka /2/. From Stará Paka you can take the green route, which will lead you through Pecka on the Krkonoše route to Rais´ cabin. The blue route continues west towards Železnice. Once you leave Podůlší, you reach the landscape protection area of Bohemian Paradise. The beautiful scenery of Prachovské rocks suddenly opens out in front of you. The terrain of the rock town is very demanding, therefore we recommend negotiating the rocks on foot. The route continues to Pařezská Lhota /3/, where you will be provided with the necessary facilitates for you and your horse. You can get advice on what other interesting things can be visited in the surrounding area. The Humprecht hunting chateau or the house of Fráňa Šrámek in Sobotka are certainly worth a mention. Small children are welcome in Jičín. The town is famed as being a “fairytale town” where you will find Rumcajsova ševcovna (Rumcajs cobblers) and the Museum of games.

Podzvičinská bridleway or Around the Forest Kingdom

From Stará Paka /2/ the bridleway leads through Nová Paka towards Sýkornice nature park and then to Pecka. From Pecka you will continue parallel to the cyclist route to a Baroque forge, Kalský valley on Zvičina hill. Proficient riders can take their horse up the steep climb to the 671m high summit; others can follow the cyclist route around Zvičina to Lázně pod Zvičinou. Stay here for a while, enjoy the beautiful views of the summit of Krkonoše Mtns. and also try the effects of the curative water in the local hotel. Continue to Bílá Třemešná, where the route joins the red Krkonoše route. This leads you to Těšnovská dam better known as Les Království (Forest Kingdom), one of the most beautiful hydraulic structures in the country. From Nemojov take the beautiful forest path towards Hájemství until the rising station in Vítězná /1/.
