An impressive railway viaduct in Bernartice built between 1867-1869 bridges road and creek Ličná on the railway track Trutnov – Královec.


Les Království

Bílá Třemešná – dam Těšnov/Les Království

A national cultural monument. Dam on the river Elbe with hydroelectric power station was built in the years 1910-1919. The impulse for the construction were floods in 1887. The dam, 28 m deep is built of stone blocks.

Semicircular bridge arches are assembled from flat stones from local materials.


papírna Pražský labský mlýn

Hostinné – paper mill „Prague Elbe Mill“

The building of the oldest paper mills in the Krkonoše Mountains. In the factory there was built the second paper machine in Bohemia. On one of the buildings there is a memorial plaque of K. Klíč, inventor of gravure printing.


Kalský mlýn

Kal u Pecky – mill

A timbered, two-story building from the late 18th century. There is a courtyard balcony on the side of the building, to the rear facade shield a refrigerator from sandstone blocks is attached. The site also includes a wooden barn with a thatched roof.

Kuks – an inundation bridge with the statue of Christ the Saviour

The stone bridge over the River Elbe connects the Hospital area with Spa. It was built by the local estate owner F. A. Špork.


Lampertice – underground coal mine Jan

The pit Jan as the deepest mine in the district of Žacléř is already out of operation. On the surface there remained preserved mining machine of Ward-Leonard type, together with facilities including trestle steel mining towers.


Mladé Buky-kamenný most

Mladé Buky – stone bridge, and premises of the former gold mines

The bridge is built of flat stones from the local sources of semicircular field. On the eastern slope of Bart's forest (Bartův les) location there are remnants of gold mining. The remains of a number of shafts, dumps, air shafts and water tanks are preserved.


Obří důl-šachta Kovárna

Pec pod Sněžkou / Obří důl – shaft Kovárna

The first record of mining is from 1534. Arsenic and copper ores were mined there. Around 1820 the forge was established and it served as a shaft building. In 1864 mining ended. Currently the shaft is accessible.

Labská přehrada

Špindlerův Mlýn – Labská dam

The water dam was built as a protection against floods in the years 1910-1914. Its length is

1 km and the dam is 41,5 m high and 153,5 m long. In the 80th the road bridge across the dam was built with the highest pillar with a height of 30 m.

Jiranův mlýn

Úbislavice – Jiranův Mill

A multi-story timbered building with courtyard balcony and carved railings. The oldest part of the wall is dated between 1781 and 1815.

Žacléř-důl Šverma

Žacléř – coal mines of J. Šverm / František / Jiří

Some underground coal mines remind the times of coal mining, whose head gear, but also mining machinery and parts of areas have been declared a cultural monument.
