The best known festival in the region is Poláčkovo léto (Poláček´s Summer), which is held annually in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. For music, you can visit Tůmův Kostelec (Tůma´s Kostelec) or country festival Orlické ozvěny (Orlické Echoes) in Dobruška.

Poláčkovo léto - theatre

Theatre festival organized to commemorate a Rychnov native – writer, journalist, and humorist Karel Poláček – traditionally takes place in Rychnov nad Kněžnou at the end of June and beginning of July. Held at unusual town premises, the festival includes also concerts in Rychnov churches and synagogue.
