Power of the Regional Assembly
The Assembly makes decisions on issues of autonomous authority. On issues of delegated authority can the Assembly decide only when it is determined by law.
Summoning the Assembly
- The Assembly meets when it is needed, at least once every three months. The sessions of the Assembly are held on days set by the Assembly and
they are summoned by the President of the Region at least ten days before the date.
- The sessions of the Assembly are open to the public. Beside the Members of the Regional Assembly take part also the director and heads of departments
of the Regional Authority, and on occasions the directors of contributory organizations, the director or head of organizational sections appointed
by the Regional Authority and representatives of legal entities established by it.
- Should at least one third of the Members of the Assembly ask for it, the President of the Region has to summon unscheduled sessions of the Assembly
within three weeks after delivering the request to the Regional Authority.
- The President has to summon an unscheduled session also on the basis of a previous decision of the Assembly or the Council in order to discuss urgent issues. Furthermore, the President can summon a session in case of festive or ceremonial occasions.
