Babiččino údolí (Grandmother´s Valley) - chateau Ratibořice

Beautiful valley of the river Úpa became the setting for the famous 18th century novel Babička (Grandmother) written by Božena Němcová. Today it is one of the most visited places in the region. The 2nd circuit to the chateau has wheelchair access as well as the other historical buildings.

Starting point: car park 100 m from the chateau

Route: Ratibořice chateau - Rudrův Mlýn (Rudra´s Mill) – Staré bělidlo (Old Bleachery) – Viktorčin splav (Viktorka´s Weir) /4 km/

Points of interest: in June and around Christmas you can meet real life figures from the novel who will guide you around the most famous landmarks.
